Hi All,
I'm so sorry I haven't blogged for a long time. I've been meaning to, but got very busy. So what's been happening? Well, I was in Fiddler on the Roof at the Phipps Center for the Arts. It was a very fun production. The cast was huge (about 65 people). I miss seeing them.
I also assistant directed for the show at the middle school I attended. It was an original play by Claudia Haas called "Betwixt and Betweened." It is a really cool show about teenagers from different generations.
I also need to share some sad news. First of all, a teacher at my middle school who had cancer passed away on November 21st. He was a great teacher who was SO inspirational to me and so many others.
Secondly, my good friend, Grant, who I have blogged about often passed away on November 26th, also due to cancer. I am totally and completely devastated. I really can't believe he's gone. He was a great director and actor. But mostly, he was a great friend. I will miss him very much. Grant is one of the main reasons I am in theatre. Two summers ago, Grant introduced me to a woman who I have gotten to know well over the past to years, not to mention the past two weeks. She was a close friend of Grant's and knows how I'm feeling right now. I hope that she and I will continue to get to know each other as the years go by. I think Grant would've wanted that. Thanks for everything, Grant, I will miss you and your unforgettable laugh.
